The Hocking Hoot is a unique stay made from two 40-foot shipping containers, set on 5 private acres with breathtaking views for miles.


AMENITIES

  • 3 bedrooms – all with queen beds
  • Full kitchen (fridge, stove, dishwasher)
  • Smart TVs with Wi-Fi for streaming
  • Spectrum internet (generally works well, but service is not guaranteed)
  • Electric fireplace
  • Arcade room with Buck Hunter and Pac-Man
  • Large deck with hot tub overlooking the woods
  • Propane grill
  • Air conditioning
  • Fire pit


You’ll have access to both floors.

Arrival is easy: walk down the stone path to the deck and enter through the main door using your unique code. The fire pit can be accessed from the deck steps or the downstairs slider.

Safety & Monitoring

  • Exterior security cameras are in use at the parking area only
  • NoiseAware decibel-only monitoring (100% privacy compliant):
    – 1 sensor in the main gathering area
    – 1 sensor outside

Reservation Requirements

  • Minimum Booking Age: 25 years old
  • Identification & Contact Info: Valid government-issued ID and full contact details required
  • Guest Presence: The booking guest must be present at check-in and throughout the stay
  • Renter Agreement: Must be signed and a matching ID & credit card uploaded within 24 hours of booking
  • Matching Info Required: Reservation name, ID, and credit card must all match

House Rules

  • No smoking or vaping inside the property
  • No parties or large gatherings
  • No additional guests — only those listed on the reservation are allowed
  • Quiet hours: 10:00 PM – 10:00 AM (strictly enforced)

Rates & Fees

  • Standard Rate: $600 per night for up to 6 guests
  • Pet Policy: Pet-friendly — $30 + tax per pet, per night (maximum 3 pets)

Payments & Deposits

  • Reservation Deposit: 50% due at time of booking
  • Final Balance: Automatically charged 30 days prior to arrival
  • Damage Deposit: $300 refundable hold placed on your credit card 3 days before arrival and released within 3 days after checkout if no damages or violations occur

  • Cancellation fees and occupancy limits apply
  • Optional trip cancellation & travel insurance may be available at booking
